Joyce Leveston detail

In her role with Spectra, Joyce optimizes day-to-day operations, and spearhead strategic initiatives and resources across all Spectra-managed convention centers.

Joyce has spent her entire career seamlessly running major convention centers across the Nation. With more than 30 years of experience, Joyce have operated venues and produced client experiences from the San Diego Convention Center, Miami Beach Convention Center, GRB Convention Center in Houston Texas, Walter E Washington Convention Center in Washington DC to her most recent tenure at the Massachusetts Convention Center Authority where she served as General Manager for both The Hynes Memorial Convention Center and Boston Convention & Exhibition Center.

During her many years of service, Joyce has hosted the NFL Superbowl, MLB & NBA All-Star weekend, Republican National Convention, Presidential Inaugural balls, the Whitehouse State of Women Conference and 57 Heads of State at the Nuclear Security Summit for President Obama. Her keen attention to detail, along-side her expansive client relationships, have made her a force in the industry. However, Joyce is probably best known for seeking out top industry talent while developing exceptional future leaders.

Joyce holds industry memberships with PCMA, IAEE, ASAE, AIPC and currently serves on the committee for diversity and inclusion for IAVM. Joyce earned her Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) credential in 1997, her Certification in Meeting Management (CMM) in 2015, and her Certified Venue Professional (CVP) designation in 2018.

Joyce received her bachelor’s degree in communications from University of California San Diego.
