The Miami Beach Convention Center (MBCC) is the centerpiece to Miami Beach's meetings and conventions industry. Re-imagined following a $620-million-dollar renovation, the expanded MBCC includes a new 60,000 square foot Grand Ballroom, almost 500,000 square feet of exhibition space, an expanded Grand Lobby, pre-function areas that are bathed in natural light, up to 84 breakout rooms, almost 2,100 miles of cabling to support all IT communications, $7.1 million dollars' worth of art curated by the City of Miami Beach Art in Public Places program, a new six-acre public green space that can serve as incremental event space, and much, much more. Located at the heart of Miami Beach’s vibrant City Center Campus, the MBCC is just twelve miles away from Miami International Airport and steps away from world-famous Lincoln Road, inspiring arts and culture, fine-dining, resort-style hotels and beautiful blue beaches.

Notable Events

MBCC is approaching its 20th year as the home of Art Basel Miami Beach, attracting more than 170,000 visitors, art dealers, galleries, artists and cultural aficionados to the venue each year. MBCC also annually hosts the Miami International Auto Show, the longest running consumer event in Miami Beach, now approaching its 50th year at the MBCC. Recently, the MBCC hosted the public auditions for the popular NBC network TV program America’s Got Talent. In 2020 the MBCC hosted the NFL’s Super Bowl LIV Media Center facilitating press conferences, livestreaming and media coverage around the globe, while simultaneously housing the NFL’s Super Bowl LIV Fan Experience in the Exhibit Hall, offering 75,000 fans and families unique sports-related experiences and football memorabilia galleries. MBCC enjoys GBAC Star Facility Accreditation and participates in the City of Miami Beach’s MB Standard program.

Notable Venue Information

Following the recently completed $620-million-dollar renovation and expansion, the MBCC is LEED-Silver Certified for implementing environmentally-friendly infrastructure and green practices. 9-acres of public green space (Pride Park and Collins Canal Park) surround the venue, offering indoor and outdoor activation and opportunities for deeper public-private partnerships. The MBCC is home to $7.1-million-dollars of artwork from the City of Miami Beach’s Art in Public Places Program, installed and available throughout the grounds. The MBCC’s Grand Ballroom is the largest in South Florida. Flexible and production-friendly the beautiful Grand Ballroom enjoys dedicated entry from the northeast, a large terrace with city views, and an adjacent sun-drenched pre-function space with lofty views of Collins Canal Park. The Sunset Vista Ballroom also enjoys dedicated entry from the southwest, airy pre-function space, and dramatic sunset views of Pride Park from a large terrace. The new Art Deco Ballroom & Studio offers a full suite HD video and audio streaming studio for recording and livestreaming in-person, virtual, or hybrid activities. More than 2,100 miles of CAT 6 cabling support a redundant IT backbone that minimizes downtime, maximizes data transfer, and enables free Wi-Fi in public areas to keep visitors connected.
