Ryan McIvor

Ryan MacIvor is Spectra Venue Management's General Manager at Mosaic Place in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan.

Prior to joining Spectra, Ryan managed Travel Alberta’s Visitor Information Centre in collaboration with Parks Canada, Tourism BC, and Travel Alberta in Field, BC then moved on to Canmore, Alberta where he managed the Government of Alberta’s Visitor Information Centre. In 2001, he arrived in Dawson Creek to accept the position of Tourism Development Coordinator where he created the Destination Management Organization Tourism Dawson Creek and was an instructor at Northern Lights College in their Business Administration Program. Ryan was the Assistant General Manager and Director of Marketing for Spectra and was promoted to General Manager in the spring of 2009.

Ryan was instrumental in the success of the Encana Events Centre, hosting “A” market acts, developing and securing a historic five year hosting partnership with Hockey Canada, and is one of 12 people in the country that sits on Hockey Canada’s National Task force for Events. Moreover, Ryan was Nominated as General Manger of the Year for Spectra in 2018.

MacIvor completed five years of study at the University of Northern British Columbia, and holds a Bachelors degree in Resource Based Tourism, and minors in resource recreation and First Nation’s studies
