What we did and why?
Spectra’s culinarians and The Humane Society together created more than 20 new, 100 percent plant-based menu items at the Plant-Strong Innovation Workshop.
Recognizing a high demand for more vegan-friendly options across Spectra’s 250 venues, the new products are intended to make plant-based food more accessible and cost-effective for large-volume events. The largest food company in the world, Nestlé, joined us and presented plant-based products from their Sweet Earth line, which are not even on the market yet.
Spearheaded by Executive Chef John Schmitz and General Manager Matt Dye, the goal was to create a recipe book featuring the new menu items, which fall into three categories: catering, concessions and innovation.
